Mastiffs In Need is run by a group of like minded Mastiff owners whose aim is to help Mastiffs less fortunate than our own. We all have experience of owning Mastiffs. Mastiffs In Need was set up at the end of September 2006. We have succesfully rehomed a number of Mastiffs.
We are a non profit making organisation. We raise all our own funds and rely on donations at the time of rehoming a Mastiff. However, we do not have a set fee and ask for a reasonable donation that you can comfortably afford according to your own circumstances and the age of the Mastiff you have adopted. A perfect home for our rescues is more important than the donation made.
All our rescues are assessed prior to being rehomed and we try to find out as much information from the previous owners as possible. This obviously cannot always be relied upon hence a thorough assessment. The majority of our rescues are older, most of these are about 4 or 5 years old. Occasionally we do have younger rescues but please understand we VERY rarely get puppies on rescue. The most common reason for a Mastiff being put up for adoption is marriage break ups or a change in the owners circumstances beyond their control.
If you would like us to consider you as a home for one of our rescue's. Please be aware you will need to fill in a questionaire and then will be visited by either one of our committee members or a helper of Mastiffs In Need. If you have a Mastiff which needs rehomeing for whatever reason, we are not here to judge and will do our utmost to help you whatever your circumstances.
